    Maybe another Catawba day tomorrow!

  2. Ryan says:

Don and I are meeting at Catwaba Island State Park at noon tomorrow. Come out East away from the flat washing machine chop. OR stay in Toledo and admit defeat

    • Ryan says:

No one? Well I guess it is the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald therefore a wave day.

  3. Red Sky says:

Peter is supposedly rolling to Brest Bay this AM, if he reports in I’ll let you know

  4. Mark says:

It’s just miserable right now, cold, rainy & not a lot of wind. We’ll see if the wind picks up & IF I can get motivated when(IF) the rain stops. I am officially on stand by.

  5. Ryan says:

Off a little early tomorrow…we’ll see how motivated I am in the cold rain

  6. Red Sky says:

Check out the photos of Ryan O from Edgewater park in Cleveland. Hats off to Don for the black eye & photo credit!

  7. Red Sky says:

    Saturday update:
    Ryan O & Don are at Edgewater(Cleveland)
Ryan L is at Maumee Bay SP

That is all I have for now.

    • Andy says:

Should be hitting MB at noontime

      • Red Sky says:

Ryan L update from Maumee Bay-bring your warm gear:

        12:09 PM (5 minutes ago)

        to me
Bbbbrrrrr… very cold. Too cold for me. Nice breeze with decent direction though. Bring your warm gear if you make it.

  8. Ryan says:

NW at Maumee Bay state park tomorrow after work and then a wave day at Edgewater Sate park Saturday!!!!

  9. Red Sky says:

jay was out at Brest Bay reported a 6m kite then he went 8. He just reported a swing to SW-WSW so take that & make your own decision.

  10. Mark says:

Warm & windy, probably not too many days that will be this warm left this season, I think I’ll go riding. Yes, yes I will.

    • Edmond says:

Hi, I’m Edmond, new in town, where is the spot for winds coming from south?

      • Mark says:

not many good options on a SSW, Brest Bay marina in Mi (Bolles Harbor) is probably your best bet.

        • Peter says:

Best Bay was good for me from 1-2:30. A little gusty but powered on 12m. My first ride there, great spot on s, sw. Met Corey and Dan from Ann Arbor.

  11. Mark says:

well since somebody punked out on our east coast blitz to intercept hurricane Matthew I guess tomorrow(saturday) will have to do. It looks marginal WNW as of now, hoping it picks up a little. Maumee Bay SP will be the call. Stay tuned , we’ll see what happens.

  12. Mark says:

OK Luna Pier wave-ish day. Pretty decent turn out, 3 kites & 3 sails. Was supposed to be a lot windier than it was but I’ll count it.

  13. Red Sky says:

LP maybe tomorrow & Friday????? Maybe……might be rainy but your gonna get wet anyways right?

  14. Mark says:

well, I’m biting again. Looks to be a lot more W in it than predicted & it’s holding around 20. My MB-yes, Maumee Bay, ETA is 3pm.

    • Mark says:

side off, with a good wind line pretty far out, I bailed after a bit instead of hunting deep solo. Almost the same as yesterday & that almost ended badly. Hoping those east winds come through Thurs/Fri!

    • Brad says:

Overpowered on the 10 first hour then perfect for another hour. 14 yesterday.

  15. Mark says:

Heading out to Maumee Bay SP, ETA around 1-ish. I may have Don biting on the wind also.

    • Mark says:

new updated MBSP eta is 2 pm…..we’ll see…..

      • Mark says:

well that kinda sucked, Gary had a break down out deep that basically forced him to rerig in the water & Don barely made it back to shore. I think the official score was: Gary 1 win-1 loss-1 draw, Don 0 wins-2 losses & me 2 draws. Lake Erie was the hands down winner today

        • Ryan says:

did Judd and Bannister talk you into MBSP?

          • Mark says:

no, the west forecast & shallow water 😉 little did we know that the W would not really come thru-except on a few sketchy connector gusts

  16. Red Sky says:

MBSP report, Pete & Andy on big kites right now, it may not last long, do not delay IF you’re thinking about it.

  17. Pete says:

MBSP solid 13 kite conditions right now.

  18. Red Sky says:

Good bye Summer, you will not be missed! Fall, it’s all yours now!

  19. Mark says:

I hope everyone scored Saturday, it looks like it could be a while until the next session. Todays AM possibility looks like a miss.

  20. Mark says:

grab your board & go riding! Either wait until it rolls W & run to MB or hit that special spot you have for a SW

  21. Ryan says:

Capping good at home. A feeler is in my future

  22. steve says:

this seems to real to be just a model. But it looks too good. Anybody actually been to MB yet today?,-83.506,11,3,!1189,1

    ypsi steve

    • pete says:

Negative, but I plan to head that way after I finish eating lunch.

      • Pete says:

Looks a lot like yesterday. Judd is on the water. I just missed him on the beach.

        • Mark says:

unless I see better readings on the sensors or get a good report I’m skipping today

          • Pete says:

            Stay home. Waste of gas.

          • Pete says:

Judd gave up and was almost immediately replaced by Yipsi. I gave up to. Check the traveler is still out deep

          • jay says:

Just started picking up. I’m to gun shy to go at it mono e mono.

          • steve says:

Final Friday Report: 8.5 worked fine from 330 to 5 and then for awhile a 6.5 was decent with bigger board. Did put extra effort into staying on that board. After being up north for a few weeks, this slow brown MB swell with bits of floating stuff keeps you on your toes

            Ypsi steve

  23. Andy says:

Is it happening today? MB? Report? Eta 5:30 for me

  24. Mark says:

It has to blow sooner or later, really it has to

  25. pete says:

    Dear August.
You’re fired. Please clear out your desk and vacate the property by Wednesday.

September will blow in starting on Thursday.

    Wind Addicts.

  26. Mark says:

well, anyone have an ETA for Maumee Bay today, around 2?

  27. Mark says:

Maybe a Saturday score on the dreaded SSW-SW winds.

  28. Mark says:

Sunday’s forecast is still holding strong, could it be a classic W Maumee Bay day?????

  29. Ryan says:

    Sunday….but will that forecast hold?

    • Mark says:

some of those forecasts are showing really big winds, I hope it goes more WNW than WSW, Maumee Bay waiting on connector gusts kiinda sucks(until you get out a half mile) BUT it is what it is.

  30. Mark says:

    Dawn(ish) Patrol!

    • Brad says:

I’m sure I’ll miss it by time I get out

      • Mark says:

Yep, I think it is done. Ryan & myself with a AM score. 9 kite & 5.5 sail overpowered to perfect, left water around 11:30. Gary with a late start on a 5.0 looked like he planned out once he got deep.

  31. Mark says:

Ryan & myself are rolling out at noon, we’ll see what happens. I may have forgotten how to ride.

  32. Mark says:

Rain ride tomorrow?????? As of now it looks like me might have decent wind.
