The Fall Swell.....its on!!!!!
Damn, can fall get any worse? No wind, war, no wind, the economy, gas prices(round trip to SS in the 'bourbon is $60), the Hostess shortage(according to Don), cold water & did I mention no wind? I'm going to say the next time I get "air" might be on a snowboard if something doesn't change soon! I sure hope they resolve the Hostess crisis though!
Summer fun 2008-Red Sky crew & friends
"......then you should have seen it, I was doing 50 foot B-52's-unhooked! And then I was really good doing all these killer moves that only pros do & then I did a quad loop on my windsurf board & then I grabbed the kite and lofted over a freighter----unhooked & then these girls were like, 'hey was that you out there cause you're like the best ever' & I was like yeah that was me & then"......SHUT UP & RIDE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cape Hatteras rideapalooza 2008 (or Billy Ray & the boys)
May 14-18 2008 team Red Sky world tour of Cape Hatteras. It blew harder every day we were there. The pics aren't in any order-due to I don't know what order they should be in! Thursday-wind blew in late at around 15-20, Friday-hangovers gone we started riding at 11 & came out of the water at 7:30! The wind picked up nicely in the afternoon for a 20 -25 session. Saturday, we got there at 2ish & rode until sunset-8:30. Winds were 25 with higher gusts. Sunday, cranking as soon as we got up, rode from 10-3 in 30-40 conditions! Only ones on the water! Drove home after that wet & tired! An EPIC trip!
Home alone at Maumee Bay 5/17-18/08
The home team of Ryan B, Pete & Brad hold down the fort while the rest of the crew was in Hatteras. Gusty, shifty WNW winds rewarded the boys with a classic Maumee bay weekend. A special shout out to Ryan & Brad for the board recovery.
Mothers (or monsoon) Day 08
Mother nature, being a mother & all, showed her displeasure that 5 of us would choose to ride on such a hallowed holiday. She threw everything she could at us trying to deter us from our quest. She claimed 2 victims, Ryan B (the B is for barf) & Biz (dead kite & lost walkie talkie), but spared the rest of us. Quite an ugly day, big ass wind, heavy swell & a lot of rain. Put a quarter in you a$$ because ya played yourself! Words to live by!
